M/V 1 - Blink 182 - All The Small Things
In the music video they are doing parodies of 'Boy Bands' such as Backstreet boys and Britney Spears. This is common in their genre of Pop Punk where they like to make jokes or make fun of thing which are 'mainstream' like pop artists. They use a lot of close up and mid-shots to show off the costumes used, to give the audience a picture off who/what they are parodying. then they also use low shots which are common in the rock genre as it helps show off the whole 'live band' they are.
M/V 2 - Vampire Weekend - A-Punk
This music video has been speed up and they have lip-synced in a way that makes it seem he is still singing at the normal speed. They have also included instruments such as guitars and drums to make it seem as if they are playing the music live. They have a very 'Beatles' vibe with the way they are dressed and the scenes where they do small intervals such as the 'snow' and the 'ocean'. This is used for they are both 'rock' bands; even though Vampire Weekend is American, it seems they have been inspired/influenced by the Beatles.
M/V 3 - BIGBANG - BangBangBang
In the video a lot of different scenes are used, which is common place in the kpop genre. They use a lot of low wide shots at the beginning and at the end of the video to show off their dancing and the way it is all set up. Every member of the group gets their own different set up which is in tie to when they are doing their parts. They also have a very 'over the top' and a lot of stuff going off at once, for this goes with how big the group is in South Korea (their nickname is the 'kings of kpop'). They have a very male vibe for they have shirtless scenes and a lot of cars, guns and explosions, and then later on they have a whole room of females dancing in short dresses. This is also common place in kpop for the males are meant to be seen as strong, manly and handsome, while females are made to be overly sexual.
